Many theme park owners fail to add smaller roller coasters on their park. Naturally, they are certainly not mandatory, but it's a bad idea to skip then, except for very specific situations.
Unless your park tries to produce a powerful atmosphere and concentrate heavily around the more exhilarating attractions, it's an excellent idea to have smaller and calmer ones for those who aren't too used to this kind of thing.
Small roller coasters are some of the most widely used amusement park rides - especially among kids. It's a thrilling, exciting experience, however, not enough to scare them much. It's an outstanding attraction if you'd much like your park to provide something for the complete family.
Usually, only teenagers would like to try the larger, crazier roller coasters. Adults and children are certainly more inclined to like less intense experiences - so, in this way, you are able to attract a wider array of different visitors.
In many situations it's best to have a smaller roller coaster right after a large one, so people can select between them - yet, if your park has none, it might be smart to obtain one too - roller coasters are very popular, and visitors may be disappointed if they go there and don't find any.
It's advisable to consider demographics - when your park is intended to appeal mostly to families and doesn't necessarily ought to provide this kind of intense experience, receiving a few small roller coaster rides will probably be enough.
A precise benefit of smaller rides, naturally, is that they end more rapidly, there'll be less lines and, when the park is crowded, many costumers can visit it, rather than larger ones in which it takes much more time between rides.
Roller coasters http://bestonrollercoaster.com/big-roller-coaster-for-sale/ usually highlight themselves - when your visitors see people riding it screaming and laughing, they'll likely desire to go there as well. Because of this, they are generally extremely popular.
Smaller roller coasters are often much safer and much more manageable too - you won't require a large team of technicians to tend to it, and any difficulties with it is going to usually be easy to fix.
Another significant cause of their popularity is the fact that smaller roller coaster rides take a shorter period and usually have shorter lines than larger ones - so costumers can squeeze them in the middle the larger attractions. Since it's very easy to create time for any short ride, they will likely often go to the small ones several times through their day.
In the long run, small roller coaster rides http://bestonrollercoaster.com/small-roller-coaster-for-sale/ are a really good option that a lot of amusement parks should provide to their visitor and clients. They have so many benefits, that there isn't much of a reason to not have them, with the exception of those specific cases. If you're in charge of the style of a park, and also you haven't yet purchased at the very least a number of, you need to consider the process as quickly as possible!

How Do Roller Coasters Work?
Many of us like to go on roller coasters, but how many of us know how they work? The best part of being on a roller coaster is to have a feeling like you are about to fly out of your seat, but why don't you? In this article we will go step by step of how the fun ride works.
First of all, we have to get to the top. So we start going upwards, and the first hill is always the tallest one (for more excitement!), which means that the potential energy is at its highest when the ride is at its highest. Meaning that at that point the ride is at its' highest point and after the drop, the indoor theme roller coaster will be doing the most work and the energy that the roller coaster will build up from that first drop will be enough to take you until the end of the ride.

After the roller coaster makes it to the top of that first hill, the gravity will take over. The ride will be pulled downwards with the gravitation pull of 9.8m (or 10m). As the ride accelerates down the "hill," the potential energy converts into kinetic energy, also known as motion energy as object that has kinetic energy must be in motion.
Now, how does the roller coaster ride come to an end? Well, it all has to do with inertia, the law that states that an object will stay in motion until acted by an equal but opposite force. When the roller coaster is at the bottom of the "hill" its' kinetic energy is at its highest. While the ride is going around the loops and other hills, the energy is being lost to an energy like friction. So when the roller coaster http://bestonrollercoaster.com/indoor-roller-coaster-supplier/ gets to an end it has used all of its energy (but of course there are also breaks that help the ride with coming to a stop, which also convert the kinetic energy into heat).
So you know the feeling like you are going to fly out of your seat that we talked about earlier? The reason you do not fly out of your seat is because you are being pushed down by your safety bars, even though you are going up the hill. When you go down the hill, you are still being pushed downwards even though the roller coaster starts pushing you up again. The combination of these two "feelings" keep you safe in you seat and make sure you do not fly out and enjoy your ride.

Amusement Park Roller Coaster Thrill Rides
When you are five years old and 43 inches tall, there are only four rides in all of Hershey Park. According to the good folks at Hershey, there are over 60 rides and attractions, but according to our daughter there are only four: The Comet, Superdooperlooper, Trailblazer and Roller Soaker.
If you guessed that these four rides are roller coasters, you probably also guessed that we have a five year old thrill seeker in the family. I am sorry, make that a 43 inch tall five year old. We must keep the facts straight. After all, she did not make me check her height twice a week all winter for nothing. This child has been measured more than a Weight Watchers convention!

I guess it all started last year when she rode the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood for the first time, and then again, and again; six times in all that day if memory serves. And mind you, we did not just ride, we waited extra time to sit in front and then extra time to sit in back and I even got a lecture on how to properly raise my hands above my head. White knuckled adults were shaking their heads in amazement, but she just could not get enough.
She talked about it so much over the winter that to tide her over until summer arrived, I even created a screen saver collection called Roller Coaster Mania -- try it and see what you think: http://store.eSellerate.net/90percent/rcm ; I put this on my computer and all winter as we ticked off her progress on the growth chart, she grilled me about which one of the coasters in these gorgeous photos she would be able to ride. By the first signs of spring, I have to admit, I was pretty eager to get on the rides too!
So when considering our vacation destination for the summer of 2006, the primary objective was to find a park that had roller coasters that met the height requirement and a good selection of kiddie rides for our younger daughter who thinks her sister is nuts, regardless of how tall she is.
Since most parks put a 48 inch minimum on what our daughter calls real roller coasters http://bestonrollercoaster.com/steel-roller-coaster-manufacturer/, I had to do a little searching on the Internet before finally deciding upon Hershey Park in Pennsylvania which fit the bill. Of their 10 coasters, four are set at the 42 inch minimum with the greatest excitement of it all being the fact that one even does a loop dee loop, as she calls them.
We nestled in to a cozy cabin at a nearby campground, saw some other sites in Amish Country, visited the Crayola Factory, attended a beautiful festival in Kutztown, and then it was off to the park for the day. Of course, to our five year old, the park was the whole purpose for the trip, not just one of the many family activities we had planned. Our youngest was just in it for the chocolate and also delighted in boinking the Hershey Bar character on the nose. So we all have our vices I guess.
At dawn on the big day, I found myself being tapped on the shoulder several hours before I had planned to be out of bed. Can you measure me one more time, just to make sure, she said, as she waived a measuring tape over my head. Even before my first cup of coffee, this was one of those moments you will never forget.
Not only did she sneak a measuring tape into the suitcases, she also brought along her high healed sandals just for good measure. I could not quite explain that after passing the 42 inch mark, it did not matter how tall she was until she reached the next 48 inch plateau. She insisted on the added insurance that the sandals provided, so they were the footwear of choice; at least until after the first hour or so when I pulled out the backup pair.

I absolutely love riding roller coasters but let me go on record as saying that for a mother, it is a little unsettling to see your baby being strapped into a seat beside you; she just looked so tiny sitting there! So I did what any quick thinking mom would do and when the ride started, I proceeded to reach over with my arm and pin her against the back of the seat, brace her head from moving, and make sure she didn't fall out. After all, the ride operator DID say to secure, my belongings.
Out of the gate, around a corner and down an incline we were thrust into a loop and a milestone was reached. She had experienced her first loop dee loop laughing and wide eyed every step of the way. This was her shining moment. When the ride was over, we hugged, jumped up a down a few times and then ran down to Daddy and her sister. More hugs, more excitement and then of course, Can we go again?!
But Daddy, this time can you tell mommy to let go of me? I did some sheepish explaining and then we repeated our ride. In fact, we repeated the scenario 16 times (yes, she counted) in all that day spread amongst her four coasters. And as the day went on, I did manage to let go, and that made it much easier for her to thrust her hands in the air on every one we rode.
While we proceeded to have a coaster marathon, Daddy and younger sister reported that there were actually a great deal of other fun things to do in the park too. There must have been, because I saw the tell tale signs of chocolate, but no one was admitting to anything. Maybe next time, I will figure it out! Then again, it is very likely that this winter we will reach that 48 inch mark on the wall, so I may never ride anything but a roller coaster again. Oh well, we all make sacrifices for our children now, do we not?

How to Build a Roller Coaster?
All good roller coasters for sale start with a model; a model shows prospective customers what the ride will look like, how stable it will be, and assists their decision about whether to buy it or not. So here are a few steps in building a roller coaster model that can afterwards become an actual roller coaster ride.

Required Tools
Super glue
Normal marker
Permanent marker
Wire cutter
Required Materials
Paint
Your choice of material for the model (e.g., clay, tin)
1 yard of wire
Scenery pieces such as artificial trees, miniature people, plants etc.
Plexiglass
Small pieces of plastic
Instructions
Settle on the kind of roller coaster you want to make and select the material you prefer to use to make it. You can use clay, some sort of metal, or some people even use popsicle sticks and toothpicks, so choose which you prefer to work with and begin.
Use the normal marker to draw the shape of the track onto the plexiglass, - the lift hill, inversions (loops), secondary hills, etc, and as soon as you have decided on the shape, use the permanent marker to go over it to prevent it from getting rubbed out. The structure, tracks and support are all very essential elements of the model and should be outlined clearly here. Now you can start building.
Using the clay or other material of your choosing begin putting the model together. Take your time to put in each segment and put support pieces where needed to guarantee the model is sturdy and secure and does not crumple.
Every roller coaster starts with a very high hill dubbed the lift hill, this is because roller coasters normally are driven by gravity and the lift hill is the only location on the track that an electric motor is used to get the coaster to the top and then gravity takes over. As such it is important to perfect the height and shape of the lift hill.
To build the lift for your model, use a wire cutter to cut 3-4 pieces of the wire and put them side by side in the center of the lift hill. Next pick 2 sections at the top and bottom of the lift hill that the lift will go through to join under the tracks. Then to the side of the lift hill, thread the wire beneath the supports to make a sort of chain until both ends connect. Glue the ends together and allow them to dry.
Using the glue put 2-3 more pieces of wood on the top section of the lift hill as the launch area of the track, and additionally on the inversion and turn sections of the track. Finally take the small pieces of plastic and glue them one by one along the inner area of the chosen track to represent the magnetic mechanisms used to launch roller coasters. Paint and decorate your family theme roller coaster, design a small train for aesthetics and your model is complete.
Now it is time to get out there and find a client to make your model into a real ride!
Tips and Warnings
Since gravity is what keeps the coaster rolling, the length and height of the lift hill will be what provides the drive to keep the coaster going. So bear this in mind when determining the height and slope of the lift hill.
Build your model on a surface which is the color of the ground, either brownish for dirt or green for grass.
As you build the model, compare it to the plexiglass outline to ensure that all the track sections and supports are where they should be and none are missing.

Roller Coasters - The Best Theme Parks For High Thrills
A Surprising Choice for Fifth
Orlando is packed full of thrills for theme park lovers, but this choice for my coaster list is still a surprising one. When I say Sea World, you probably think seals, dolphins, and most likely of all, Shamu, the loveable killer whale. But did you know Sea World now has a thrilling coaster too? They call it the Kracken, named after a legendary sea monster that used to attack a ship and then feast on its sailors. The theme fits well with this roaring, stomach-flipping, longest, fastest coaster in Orlando. The Kracken has an extremely unique floorless design in which the riders sit on what can only be described as a pedestal with nothing but the sky above, beside, and sometimes below you.

The Entertainment Industry Comes in Fourth
Universal Studios wants to change the fact that most of us think of Disney when we think of Orlando. Besides the studio itself, which offers rides and exciting tours, Universal also offers Islands of Adventure. This park is all the excitement and visual effect of the entertainment industry plus all the action-packed thrills of any great amusement park. The most exciting coaster here has to be The Incredible Hulk. The ride goes from 0 to 40 immediately and reaches even higher speeds through seven complete inversions. Throughout the ride, the Hulk's roar fills your ears. This park also has the Dueling Dragons coaster, which was the world's first high-speed, dueling inverted coaster.
The Exotic Third
Busch Gardens Europe in Williamsburg, Virginia, is next on the list. I like the legendary themes behind these coasters. Apparently Apollo's Chariot consistently makes top ten lists for steel coasters as it continues to live up to its name. Then there is the Griffon named after a mythical bird - part lion, part eagle. There's a 70 mile per hour drop on this one, and it's at a 90-degree angle. I don't think you'll be considering lions or eagles by that point in the ride. Continuing their fictional animal streak, they have a coaster called the Big Bad Wolf as well as The Loch Ness Monster. This one flings you 13 stories in the air and 114 feet back down, begging the question, Who's the phony now?
Six Flags - two of it's Best Versions - Tie for Second
Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, is second in the world for the most coasters in one place, which is why it makes this list for the best theme parks in the country for high thrills. The theme here is "Extreme," exemplified in their newest ride, X2. Besides that, they have the Riddler, which is the world's tallest, fastest stand up roller coaster and Tatsu, which is the longest, fastest, and tallest flying coaster. This means you ride in a supine position as though in actual flight. De Ja Vu is another unique coaster at this park. It takes you forwards and then backwards! Hey, I think I've been flung from this height before . . . ."
Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, New Jersey, technically has fewer coasters than its California counterpart, but this park has an incredible record breaker. Here you'll find the world record for the tallest, fastest roller coaster, which is also the one with the tallest drop. They call it Kingda Ka. Besides that, this park as 9 other roller coasters rated as maximum thrill and one of the newest movie-themed coasters in the country. Based on the latest Batman installment, The Dark Knight is an enclosed coaster that will make you rethink your answer to the question, Are you afraid of the dark?
